Hoya carnosa ‘Krimson Queen’ - 18cm pot on totem

Hoya carnosa 'Krimson Queen' is a striking and hard to find variegated variety of Hoya carnosa, known for its waxy green leaves edged in creamy white or pink. Some new growth may emerge entirely pink, adding to its visual appeal. This vining plant is well-suited to hanging baskets or trellises. Over time, it can produce clusters of sweetly scented, star-shaped flowers. Its colourful foliage and easy care make it a popular choice for indoor plant lovers.

Hoyas are a Plantsmith favourite due to their easy-going nature and diversity (not to mention some of the craziest names around). They are epiphytic plants, meaning they require a well-draining mix in a tighter pot to be happy; only repot in spring when it is bursting out of its current pot. Find a warm, bright spot for these plants and keep soil on the dryer side during winter and moist during warmer months.
