Hoya 'indian rope' is one of the hardiest hoyas there is, so perfect for Melbourne. They can tolerate a cool position unlike the true tropical hoyas so good for indoors or a protected position outdoors. This is a slow grower.
Hoyas are a Plantsmith favourite due to their easy-going nature and diversity (not to mention some of the craziest names around). They are epiphytic plants, which means that they require a well-draining mix in a tighter pot to be happy; only repot in mid spring when it is bursting out of its current pot. Find a warm, bright spot for these plants - and some morning sun can encourage flowering with some of the loveliest fragrances around.
Available in 13cm plastic nursery pots with multiple mature stems.
Please also note, as is the nature of living things, there may be some slight variation from the plant pictured. All plants will be in the same health/ condition and rough size as the one pictured but may differ in leaf shape etc. They are plants after all!
