Hoya australis var. tenuipes is a fast-growing, twining vine native to Australia, known for its glossy green leaves and vining growth habit. It produces clusters of all-white, star-shaped flowers that are highly fragrant, especially in the evening. With its lush foliage and sweetly scented blooms, it’s a popular and rewarding choice for Hoya enthusiasts.
Hoyas are a Plantsmith favourite due to their easy-going nature and diversity (not to mention some of the craziest names around). They are epiphytic plants, meaning they require a well-draining mix in a tighter pot to be happy; only repot in spring when it is bursting out of its current pot. Keep in a well protected area outdoors or indoors over the cooler months, especially in colder climates. Will grow well indoors but produces only occasional flowers. Keep soil on the dryer side during winter and moist during warmer months.
Available in 13cm plastic hanging nursery pots.
We do our very best to photograph each new batch of plants that come in, taking care that the plant pictured here is an accurate representation of the current stock on hand. Please also note, as is the nature of living things, there may be some slight variation in leaf shape, placement etc, they are living plants after all!
We pride ourselves on the health and quality of our plants, hand picking them from a multitude of specialist growers across Victoria and NSW.
Our store is located in Preston, and delivery is available to Melbourne suburbs or contact us for Australia wide delivery.
