An interesting and hard to find plant, ceropegia ampliata is a leafless rambler with stems that produce 8cm inflated balloon-like flowers of white and yellow pin stripes, topped with emerald green birdcages. One look at the flowers and you see why it was given this common name, the condom plant! These rare houseplants love bright direct light indoors in Melbourne and are fairly drought tolerant.
Available in 10cm plastic nursery pots, not currently in flower.
